It provides guidelines as to how best to choose, and lists the fields which are likely to be in demand, given the technological developments which will shape the way we conduct business in the next decade.

Highlights Of Present Activities & Background Data
Personal Background:
Dr.Elia is an American citizen who immigrated to the US from Lebanon over half a century ago. Dr.Elia received his education at the American University of Beirut, Lebanon, The American University, Washington D.C and Boston University, Massachusetts. He did post doctoral work at Columbia University, NY in Management Sciences. Dr. Elia holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.), a Masters of Business Administration (M.B.A) and a doctorate in Business (Ph.D.) with majors in Finance & Marketing.
Professional Background:
Dr. Elia was a former professor of business at the American University of Beirut, Lebanon. He also held the position of Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of business & professional publications covering the Middle East region, such as “Middle East Business”, “The Top 500 Companies In The Arab World”, “Where To Stay in the Arabian Gulf”.
For the US & Pacific markets, Dr. Elia published in the late 90’s, 2 publications - Prestige (US) and Prestige (Asia/Pacific). These professional publications focused on the affluent clientele of the tourism and hospitality industries.
In 2004, Dr. Elia launched a half hour weekly cable program in South Florida highlighting, in interview format, the major business establishments in the area. The program was broadcast on 4 cable stations in South Florida. Dr. Elia produced & hosted the program.
Business Activities & Positions:
With reference to business activities, starting in the early nineties, Dr. Elia was heavily involved in the acquisition and resale of residential & commercial real estate in select metropolitan areas both in the US and overseas. These select areas included NY, VA, Hawaii, FL, CA, N.J., Texas & Mexico. These real estate transactions were conducted under the auspices of Middle East Marketing Organization, srltd, for short M.E.M.O.srltd, a corporation in which Dr. Elia presently serves as CEO & President.
Dr. Elia also serves as CEO & President of O.I.G (Overseas Investment Group), which specializes in stock market operations. Dr Elia is a regular speaker on stock market strategies using technical analysis and call & put options. Dr. Elia is a member of American Association of Individual Investors and and served on the Board of the Nevada Chapter of AAII. Presently Dr. Elia chairs the Sun City Anthem Investment Group in Nevada.
Community Service:
With regards to Community Affairs, Dr. Elia is the chairman of the ADC (Anti Discrimination Committee) Chapter in Nevada, and is the founder & President of the Christian Moslem Association of Nevada. He is also the chairman of the Asian American Leadership Council for President Obama. Dr.Elia also serves on the Board of the Asian American Group.
In October 2006, Dr. Elia anchored in Las Vegas, the first town hall meeting for the candidates running for Governor in Nevada. It attracted close to a 1000 attendees. In 2008, Dr. Elia hosted a judicial forum in which participated about 20 judges running for positions in county courts, in circuit courts and for the supreme court of Nevada.
Political Affiliations:
In terms of political affiliations & memberships, Dr. Elia has recently been selected to serve on the President's committee of the Board of the Clark County Central Committee of the Democratic Party in Nevada. He also serves on the Central Committee of the NV State Democratic Party. He is currently the Vice Chairman of the Sun City Democrats and executive board member of the Henderson Democratic Club in Nevada.
Media Appearances & Coverage:
In the previous US presidential election, Dr. Elia appeared 8 times on MSNBC, a national TV cable network. These were appearances prior to the election, as a commentator on the 2 presidential candidates. He was one of 6 speakers selected by Al-Jazira TV, based in the Arabian Gulf, and broadcasts live internationally, to comment on the first US Presidential debate held in Miami on Sep.30th, 2004.
Dr. Elia was featured in the Washington Report published in Washington, D.C., The Sun-Sentinel & in the Miami Herald, published in Miami, Florida, & the Las Vegas Review Journal & the Sun Review Journal published in Las Vegas, Nevada.
A resident of Nevada, since 2005, Dr. Elia has also been featured in the News of Henderson. In the past year, Dr. Elia has appeared, a dozen times on TV, in the news programs & in special interviews on NBC, CBS, ABC & FOX on subjects relating to the Middle East.
Areas of Interest & Expertise:
Dr. Elia's areas of interest & expertise cover a multitude of subjects including Middle East oil, the US Dollar, inflation, global interest rates, foreign currencies & emerging markets primarily, China, Brazil and India.
Dr. Elia presently resides in Sun City Anthem, Henderson, Nevada.
